The original versions of the Sidonie skirt are not really my style. So I want to make something different.
I lower the waistband about 15 cm, seam allowence included. And I add in seam pockets (I followed nayantaras how to). I also lenghtened it with a "waving" stripe.
Instead only to sew lining in, I decide to make it reversible. So I use only the pattern for the front and back piece, and not those for the lining.
I used elastic fabrics, so I don´t need a zipper.
I will upload a how to for it.
It was really fun to sew, cause I can´t imagine at the beginning how it will looked at the end. I´m happy with the result!
Two skirts in one, great for traveling or when you accidentally spill something on it ;P!

So cute! What a great idea to make it reversible! I love it so much, are you going to upload it for the mini challenge? I would take part in that if I had time, sewing a wedding dress and planning a wedding is SO MUCH WORK!
wow! this is a really nice idea! good work! :)
So cute! Great idea.
So nice, 2 in 1! I love it:)
Great! I like your version better than the original!
How fabulous to have 2 in 1. Love the fabrics and your version of the skirt. Nice job!
Good job to put in pockets and make it reversible. I would have been afraid they'd show when you turn it inside out, but it looks good.
Cute cute cute! And very clever!
lovely!
Wow - such a seamstress you are! I love the idea of a reversible skirt and I like the ruffle at the bottom. Very fun. Good job!

funny and clever idea with 2-in-1, works well with a casual skirt like yours.
This is both cute and functional! My daughter would love this... :-)
