    Perfect fabric for this skirt!

I've made my high school prom dress and jacket out of drapery fabric :) but more updated then SCARLETT O'HARA's DRAPERY DRESS ;)

I was considering making Marie out of a gorgeous magenta brocade, and your creation convinced me! It's striking and very flattering.

i love this skirt! one of the best things i've seen on the site. this pattern is what convinced me to join! but your fabric choice is awesome, i'm now on the hunt for something similar.

Yes - it's knitted from a pattern booklet from the 1950s. It's supposed to be the perfect thing to pack for weekends away! The back is more interesting that the front - it's two conical tubes (sleeves) just connected in the middle of the back, so there's sort of V-neckline at the back, and an upside-down-shaped V cutaway at the bottom (if that makes sense). It's perfect for wearing with clothes that have details/ bows/ whatever on the back.
