I designed the joon dress to wear at a friend's wedding, although it was just an excuse to make something. The dress has a cowl neck and is very comfortable. Because I bought the fabric before making the design, I had to constrain the design to the fabric and could not cut it all in one piece. I thought that might be too much anyway. The bodice is in a contrasting black fabric and I think it sets off the other parts neatly. There was no way to match the print on the pattern pieces sadly. The dress is very comfortable. Since I am not always in such a flashy mood, use of the dress has been limited, although I could certainly make it again in a less crazy fabric.
