This dress was made from a vintage pattern (McCalls 3803) that I found at a thrift store for 25¢. I really love the utilitarian style, so I decided to make it up in a lightweight, striped denim that I bought (and had earmarked for another project, but that’s okay! lol). I changed the collar by following Jenny’s tutorial for making a Peter Pan collar pattern (http://wiksten-made.typepad.com/photos/peterpancollartutorial/jennygordy2.html), as I wanted something more “storybookish” than ‘70s. I also redid the pockets (the final pockets were my third “draft”! lol), since I didn’t like the shape and placement of the originals. I really like how it turned out! Definitely a multi-season garment that I can wear through the spring!
