I got the inspiration for this hat from my little boy's nursery school -- they have a party each year to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. I thought, what better time to make a silly hat? Not only is it cute and warm, but traffic has stopped a couple times as people stared at it!
I freehanded the pattern using just my head measurements, then made it out of an old sweater I'd already felted. Ear details are taken from scrap fleece and flower is crocheted and held on with a vintage button.

Thanks! I'm very proud of them, and my son is too -- he barely took it off all weekend!
