I finished this coat before Xmas last year but have no chance to show here.
Pattern was base on Burda pattern #106 from 9/07 issue, I drafted the collar by using mrs.stylebook as the guideline, back then no body have done this collar pattern, now you can use burda mag. for both collar and sleeve! I have never done anything with interlining of tailoring before so it took me a long time to study the interfacing, interlining and tailoring for coat.
This is my first winter coat. I was inspried by elainemay of burdastyle (she doesn't play here anymore, too sad, I miss her and her creations so much. If not for her awesome coats, I would never ever thought of making one.
I love the original coat as is so I didn't change the design one bit.

wow!!!
that is absolutely lovely. I really like the added tiny pleats on the collar, it's such a nice touch.
This is so beautiful!
this is soo pretty! and again I love the look of the sleeves, but I am always so afraid of being cold in shorter sleeves. The pleats at the collar are just great!

Really hot. I tried on a vintage coat like this in Vancouver, it was purple too. But I didn't have the money to buy it. So sad.
It is so stylish and nicely made! Good job!
