I made a short, lighter version of the Alden Coat. I also added some ruffles and instead of lining I finished it with pink bias tape. I didn't have any problems with the pattern and recommend it to everyone interested.

This is SO BEAUTIFUL, I love it love it love it! The ruffles are so even and they are such a nice addition.
SOOOOOOOO COOL! congrats!
absolutely beautiful! your alterations are great!
I think to work with the pattern is not so hard, too. Only when you use a very thick wool fabric (like me on my winter coat ...) it´s very difficult to sew. It was also much easier for me to sew it with a lighter fabric.
You did a wonderful job on yours!
I love those ruffles on the shoulder seam and front yoke! And the inside looks very neat.
Looks absolutely faboulous! I love the ruffles! Great!
That looks really great! I also like the ruffles. Nice job!
this is so very cute!! maybe a little too decorated for me, but this pattern works nicely at any length. Great idea and perfect creation!
Wow very baroque. Makes me want to try that pattern too.
That is so beautiful, I can't believe it is the same pattern . You did such a wonderful job! (I'm a little jealous, ok, really jealous!)
It's a beautiful jacket. Love all the details in the back. If Isaw you on the street I'd think that you dropped a pretty penny on that one ;) Great job.
Well done and congratulations! That is a one lovely lovely coat!
Those ruffles are fantastic! I love it. :)
You've done an amazing job. Those ruffles are a work of art - so neat.
I just joined, and I think it was mostly because I got so excited when I saw your jacket. It is truly beautiful!
