The short sleeved sweater I posted last week was my first succesful knitting project, but that doesn't mean it was the first... I started on this a couple of months ago, using a garnstudio pattern for a one piece bolero and this beautiful quite expensive merino yarn. Although I had made a test square, the bolero turned out to be way too big and looked rather ridiculous on me. So I unraveled the entire thing and knitted this rectangle with front and back of stitching stripes. For months I didn't know what to do with it but after completing my sweater, I decided to block it and make it a little cape. I pulled a piece of the yarn throught the piece to create the 'collar' and loosely wove the ribbon on top of that. I think it looks OK now and although it isn't exactly a practical garment, at least I can wear it now.

that's how you improve, isn't it? :p gorgeous yarn
I think this looks really cute. Good on you for persisting.
I love the colors and you can always wear it while sitting at home to keep you warm. I like it.
I love this! Tempting me to pick up the (long abandoned) needles... Looks like an awesome 'bed-jacket' for reading in the winter-chilled bedroom...
