Description

this is my attempt in copying last winter's dress by Pollini. I drew the pattern at the pattern and sewing school I just started a couple of months ago. It was quite easy to make. I used a fabric that cost me 1 euro a meter, so I didn't worry too much if it wouldn't come out fine, but the fabric is not that bad after all, just a little stiff. The sleeves are somehow twisted and I couldn't figure out how to fix this forward twisting. I have some claustrophobic attacks when I pull it on or take it off, because the top part really fits me like second skin. I've worn it at a vernissage with my Dr.Martens boots instead of the regular boots I'm wearing in the pictures, because I didn't want it to look elegant, I always need a disturbing detail

Materials

wool/polyester

    sewing my wedding dress!

This dress looks amazing. I think that the stiff fabric gives it a high fashion look, kind of like sculpture. I wish wish wish i had the talent to draft my own patterns! I love it, great job!

busy moving to a new apt

Oh my god!!! I'm not that confident with what I did, to be releasing the pattern. I can do it, but I did MAJOR modifications on the dress while trying it on. Like I had to add the side bust darts because it was too wide, and lowered the shoulders, and changed the length of the skirt, because the back came out shorter (.... don't know why...) and all sorts of these things, so IF I will post the pattern, (which is, by the way, just the basic top with a "belt" part of 8 cm, that stops like 1cm above the natural waist, and a 6 panel skirt) please keep in mind: only my size, and will certainly need modifications. I just started pattern school...
