TOP: This is the first knit fabric I have worked with and the pattern was so easy! The pattern said to have raw edges, but I overlocked the edges and then rolled them and did a narrow hem. The top only took about 2 hrs to make (cutting and sewing). It is very comfortable and I'm really pleased with how it looks. I will be making another!
SHORTS: The shorts are also extremely comfortable as the material is slightly stretchy. The pattern for these is also quick and simple to follow.

This is adorable. I am making it tonite. Looks like you could cut it on a fold, fit, two seams and poof...cute shirt!! I have no idea how to do the gather, though.

Hi, I have added a pic of the top layed out flat. It is one piece of material and folded along the straight side. It's should sit on my hips a bit lower and be more angled but I made it a little too small! I thought the pic would best explain how the gathers fall.

Beautiful look. I havent had much luck with knits but maybe I will give it a try.
