    wishing mommas love

so awesome... i knew the sidonie shape wouldn't look good on me, and this changes things completely! i guess that's the point of the site, eh, to play with the patterns... wish i could see outside that first box, but for now i will use your eyes :)

Gosh, this is gorgeous. I adore the high-waist, perfect for someone as long-waisted as I am. And the canary yellow! Delicious.

Thank you for an other motivation! The model is such a beauty and looks very sunny.

lovely, delicious! makes me happy to look at it, so sunny.

I would (will?) finish off all hems traditionally though for myself; I would also skip the center back split and make it from a fabric with enough stretch.

trying to catch up on posting...

I love this version as well, although I don't really like the hem finishings: I think it works in this case, but it makes the whole thing a sergers-only project which I don't like (because, like many other members, I don't have a serger). I would know my way around it though. This is great timing for me as I was pondering about how to take my beloved high waisted sleek skirt look into summer.

    Finished the taxes!

Personally, I like the look of the serged edges; it gives the fabric a very soft look where if it were crisp edged, with the colour, it would look too sharp. Luckily for me, my sewing machine has a stitch that looks (and pretty much acts) the same as a serge-overlocked stitch. I'd probably try this variation in a lilac though as yellows just look horrible on me :)
