Blue dream dress

Size_chart

Description

I have pimped a dress, originally made by my grandmother, that my mother wore as a bridesmade at one of my aunts wedding many years ago.
(One picture will indicate my starting point with it. I have pinned the shoulder ribbons on that picture though, so originally it was all flat and pretty wide over the shoulders). Then she "outgrew" it :P And I got it.

I have redone the skirt, shortened it in a way (se pic). Changed the shoulder ribbons and added a light blue silk fabric to "lighten" and balance the over all impression of proportions as I am heavier at the shoulders than my mother. And to balance the volume of the skirt.

Materials

Cotton and synthetic blue-flowered fabric. Light blue silk and two beads at the back shell-inspired formation. In the front, circular metal decoration.

    nightgown to dress to shirt...

I like the volume you added too it. Is that a duct tape dress form I see? I just read all about how to make those, and I'm really excited to make one. How do you like it?
