first ever jacket. I'm really pleased with the result even if I really struggled! I decided to recycle an old jacket's lining and it took me forever to figure out how not to see any stitches inside... a how to would be very useful, please somebody :) I also shortened it (5cm) and added a button on the collar and made a mini hair scrunchie with some leftover lining fabric. I'll probably go scrunchie-crazy and make loads for variations (there is also a how to to make lovely flowers, maybe if I tie them with a ribbon around the button...)

for first ever jacket it is perfect. looks really great. usually they are leaving the side seam of a sleeve lining open in order to turn the garment inside out. then you topstich the seam and it is not showing since it is inside the sleeve. i saw that on a bought jacket.
I'm not sure if it's what your problem is, but in the video "Make a Lining Pattern" they also show how to sew the lining in...
A very nice jacket. I love corduroy. :-)
I love it! I've been looking for a jacket and had forgotten about this pattern -- thanks for the inspiration. ;)
This is great. This fabric is perfect for this jacket.
Amazing jacket. I'm jealous... Going to check out the Eva pattern right away.
Thank you so much for the nice feedback! :0) MarmotaB, I had a look at the how to but there must be a problem as the video isn't loading. Thanks Ceregana, I'll try you tip next time.
Very nice! I'm sewing another Eva myself and just got to the lining step...I wish that video was working. I looked at it once a long time ago and was very helpful... Hope they get it to work.
Beautiful, I want one, I love the little flower and the idea of changing the color of it to match different outfits, very clever!
Ah, right, there's some problem with that video. :-/ Somebody posted the link somewhere in the forum, but it must be already buried deep under the newer threads... :-P Here!
great job! i love it! for a first jacket, you're very gifted!
Thanks MarmotaB! I found it too just now, searching Google Video for BurdaStyle.
That video is perfect, I'll start working on my linings for both jackets. I wish BurdaStyle would create more how tos like that!
Yes, that video is great, I like the way of adding ease to the lining much more than the pleat method suggested in Burda magazines. :-)
JD, your and my aunt's corduroy jackets made me think again about making one for myself. :-)
thanks again MarmotaB for the link. planning another jacket soon so it will be very useful. I love corduroy too. I have burgundy and caramel corduroy waiting... :p
