Green Striped Skirt

Size_chart

Description

A bias-cut ankle-length skirt from McCall's 4258. It ended up being a more complex project than anticipated-- didn't have enough of the green striped fabric to cut the whole length of the skirt, so I ended up cutting up the fabric and inserting the wide black stripes with the green rickrack. Luckily for me, it blends right in. Not exactly sure what to call the fabric itself-- it was somewhere between a taffetta and a kind of fuzzy brocade.

Materials

green striped brocade, black brocadeish stuff, green velvet rickrack trim

    Taking sewing lessons!

Looks great. Good on you for persisting and getting the amount of fabric you needed. Not sure that I would have had the patience!

Wow, well done joining those fabrics! They are beautifully arranged on your skirt and so impressing...
