This is a jacket for early spring. I have wanted to challenge this pattern but I wasn't sure if it would suit me... I think lively young girls would go well in this military jacket, but I am rather matured, so I tried to attenuate the strong character of "uniform" and to make it "light". I like the result and think it's OK in the end, it still makes me look "in costume" though!

my HikaruDescriptionMaterialsvery stiff cotton/acrylic/nylon tweed. pink cupro for the liner. hand-made covered buttons. Since this jacket has a rather boxy silhouette, I recommend all to choose your fitter size and to use soft fabric as exactly Burda team has done. It was hard for me to fit it to myself because the fabric was not that soft or stretchy. I sincerely hope that nobody will have such trouble (any more)!!! Credits

I think it looks so nice and suits you too (as far as I can tell without seeing your face). You have done such a good job.
I really like your version of hikaru! the fabric makes it look more grown up. great job!
It looks great and not costume-y at all! Very professional, in fact.

Lovely! Thanks for the useful tips on Hikaru, it's definitely on my wish(=sewing) list. Hope it turns out half as nice as yours!
I think that this jacket looks excellent on you! You did a great job, and I don't think it looks costumey at all. I think that the cut of the jacket and the color suit you quite well. But, we are all our own worst critics! :D
