Description

I made this white version of Sarah for myself, largely to try out the pattern. It was quick and easy. After this one, I made a Sarah in (woven) burgundy red wool as a present for my mother. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture, but I like that one better. The fabric is nicer and I finished all the edges by stitching on satin biais tape, ironing it to the inside of the garment and sewing it in place by hand, so there's no visible stitching on the outside. I couldn't do that on this one because it's a knit fabric

Materials

thick white knit (I have no idea what kind of fibre, but I guess polyesther, it looks like a jersey knit with a lot of fluff)

Ooh, I like this a lot too. I must remember to get some jerseyknit at the next fabric market!

This looks really good in white, perhaps I'll try it with some flannel lining. Mmmm... cozy. Also, I'm loving the skirt on Ms. Dressform! Bias cut corduroy - awesome idea! Now why didn't I think of that..?
