These are trousers made in a wool blend pinstripe using the Nichola pattern. I really like them but I completely resized them. I chose the size according to my hip measurements and ended up taking in the waistband drastically before doubling it and then taking in the legs from both seams (thus raising the crotch too), before hemming. I guess my advice if hesitating between two sizes would therefore be to go for the smaller size. The other advice I would give, for a neater interior finish would be to generously lengthen the little rectangle piece that goes behind the zip (can't remember what it's called) when cutting and adjust it to the actual length needed to cover the zip up to the waistband when sewing. This was my first pair of trousers with a zip/fly and I am really pleased with the result. In conclusion, I love the trousers but I actually don't know what size I would make them if I were to make them again since I mucked about so much with them, but, on the positive side, this is a great pattern for adjusting while making up because of the way the waistband is attached. This was my first pair of trousers with a zip/fly and I am really pleased with the result.

Love it. Look comfy and warm but in style. Great job for first zipper closure pants.
I made Nichola with gray wool too. I did the same alteration and quite pleased with the result. It was not very fitted as the model wore them but it is comfortable and keep me warm.
they look fantastic! great job with the fit. i tried out this pattern and also found them to be enormous. they don't fall off, but they're suuuuper baggy and sit very low on my hips. i'm very impressed with how you got yours to fit so nicely.
The fabric and pattern was matches it very well. I llove it!
