Hoodie w/ Asymmetrical Zipper

Size_chart

Description

A month or so ago I saw this pattern in Bust Magazine. I've never sewn using a pattern, I've been into reconstructed clothing instead but I recently decided to try my hand at using patterns. This one requires you to make the pattern yourself and it was pretty easy... I mean that said coming from a beginner.

The point is that this is my first pattern project ever and I think I did alright.

The flowery fabric was just something I found at a thrift store, I used it just in case it turned out badly.

Materials

I can't find the magazine instructions but I'm pretty sure I used 2 yards of sweatshirt material and maybe a yard of the flowery fabric + an 18 inch zipper.

I really love the idea of an asymmetrical zipper -- what a way to spice up a regular hoodie! I will definitely be looking for this pattern (or modifying one to look like this), as well...

I would never have thought of an assymetrical zipper. It looks fantastic! Thanks for the link and great job!
