Christmas Stocking

Size_chart

Description

Last Christmas my husband surprised me with a red flannel stocking he had sewn and embellished (with a snowman and my name) by hand during the work days. So this year I wanted to make him one too! Having been inspired by all of you who try to recycle fabrics, I felted an old wool blanket, cut up a kitchen towel for lining, rummaged through my stockpile for leather scraps, thread and buttons, and traced one of Matt's old cowboy boots to make a pattern. This is one of my first sewing projects... I had to tear out all the stitches twice, and the plaid doesn't quite line up...but it was fun to make!

Materials

old wool blanket, cotton kitchen towel, leather

Credits

Matt and the Burdastyle ladies and gang for all the inspiration:)
