Wow. It's so pretty. I'm not sure if I like the length, but I love the top part and the fabric you chose.
This is absolutely amazing, though I don't think I would attempt it with my lacking sewing skills right now. But someday, wow, if I had an occasion, I would make this dress.
where is the pattern for the Cape/shrug? Couldn't the dress be made for an evening after a day at the beach or the museum? Out of a CRISP material....no lining? Just remove the lining....use the IDEA....not the Exact Pattern, right? Isn't that what Sewing for Yourself rather than BUYing is all about?
That is what I was thinking. A cute cotton print would make an adorable summer outfit! I think you would have to gather lass fabric around the bodice though because it will not fall the same as the silk. You don't want to puff out in the stomach area...that is just not flattering!
i like the dress, but i love the sweater. is there a pattern for it?
The sweater is actually by a friend of ours, who let us use her clothing line for her shoot. Her line is called Spring and Clifton, you find her clothes online and in a couple of stores. Her current site is down right now, but you could just google her.
i love the dress but i think i would shorten the length to the knee
love the combination of pale green of the dress and dashing red pearl necklace... I think I'll try it...or better, ask my mum to try it :)
lovely frock, will attempt it soon, but may add sleeves due to bingo wings ((0))
