A revived shirt with peasant cap-sleeves

Size_chart

Description

I love this old shirt for its peasant pleats and peasant shoulders design, but it is way too big. The refashion process included:

  1. removed the sleeves and kept the peasant shoulders as cap sleeves.
  2. altered the bodice to smaller size based on a close fitting t-shirt. (too small at the end around my waist...dah)
    Enjoy!

stoked about flickr up for swap!

This is really cute!! It's gone from kinda dowdy to something I would pay $$$$ in a store. Reminds me of, like, something from Free People.

Great idea-- I agree with Emilykate! Did you take out the stitches in the sleeve/shoulder seam and then just turn the edges under?

Oh thank you for the flying comments. I gave this shirt to a girl friend of mine as a gift and she loved it too:)

Kristen, I did not take out the stitch in shoulder seam, but I did just turn the edges under.
