Tunic top with in-seam pockets

Size_chart

Description

Another top from the African print fabric from Marquam. I've been meaning to make this Built By Wendy pattern. All logic suggests this is not the right dress for my body type but I couldn't resist. Lately I've been more adventurous with my alterations. For this one, instead of using elastics for the neckline, I made casing and used leather cord for ties and adding a slit in the front. Oh and it has pockets! I followed Nayantara's how-to for in seam-pockets, my first attempt. Love the in-seam pockets. I don’t know why. I was thinking about that today and I think it’s because it gives you a place to put your hands and a handy stance that is somewhat open yet nonchalant at the same time giving one an air of coolness (all this from pockets, you say, but these things are important). Oh yeah and a place for stuff like hair ties and tissues. Well, that too!
