Classic styled double breasted mens coat - with fur lining and fur collar. Mother of pearl buttons (from Britex, San Francisco), real russian mink (don't know the exact english name for it, in german "Russisch Feh") lining, stepped sleeve lining with thermo wadding. Basic pattern was an old SB coat from Burda from mid 1980s. Altered to get a DB coat with vent, two outside flap-pockets and two inside pockets. All buttonholes are handmade. Slim, classic fit - made from pure cashmere flannel (thicker type) from Loro Piana, Italy. Linned with real fur, with this lining I learnt how to sew fur. Purchased extra a fur sewing machine. Furs were purchased in Sankt Petersburg last easter - will have the first viewing in St. Petersburg, Russia.

You made a lovely creation-well made and very professionall! But I am so AGAINST real animal fur for clothing industry or whatever product. I saw what they done with those poor animal. Totally break my heart. I saw people selling animal fur in the market here in Bologna and I can do nothing about it..hiks!
Es ist ein sehr schöner Mantel, aber ich denke auch, dass der Pelz(obwohl er schön ist!) ist grausam und unnötig. Ich liebe dein Kreation, obwohl ich kann nie finden gute Schnittmuster für Mantels! Und es tut mir leid für mein schlecht Deutsch! Ich bin Englisch. :)
Hello JoanOfPark, thank you for your compliment! Very kind - sorry for my english (seems to be a bit "rusted"). I purchased the fur from a dignified fur trader in St. Petersburg, Russia. He told me that this fur is from "hunted animals" so there's no cruel or hazzle about it. In Russia everybody is wearing clothes with fur in winter - just to keep normal "inside temperatures". My family is originated from St. Petersburg - this might be the reasons why I love furs. Its so warm and cosy - absolutley adorable IMHO. I'll upload a good basic pattern for a men's coat.
