Things can get developed if I was a bit bored. Approx. 58 x 39cm table runner from 100% wool (felt like type) in black as basic. Ornamented with red wool (also felt type fabric) and a few hours stichting work. From an old book about ornaments (Leipzig 1902) I got the ideas, altered a bit here and there, made a different kind of border and the table runner was done. Back has been doubled with same type fabric. Will be decorated on a walnut table with silver candle stands in the time before chrismas.

this is very beautiful i love it
Most of all I'm fascinated by the technique you used to create the ornament. One gotta have a lot of patience for this kind of work. Love the result.
You'll need quite a lot of patience - after your are finished you'll like the result. It took me approx. 60 hours of labour. Can't remember exactly, if there was nothing to do in the house I went to the Bernina and start sewing.
That's so pretty! and red is my favourite colour, I bet you get lots of compliments when friends come over
the time is definitely worth it. Very beautiful!
