I make these aprons at the Ozark Folk Center on the treadle sewing machine. They are worn by many of the crafters and musicians. Make a regular apron using 2 lengths of material. I cut one length in half (lengthwise) and sew to each side of the other piece. The waistband is 2 strips of fabric 45" across and 5" wide. I cut one strip in half and sew a half to each side of the long strip. The top is a separate piece, doubled, sewn right sides together, and turned right side out. Then I sew the top to the apron bottom.
