We had a holiday last Monday so sewing classes were cancelled :) I had time to make this pattern (used my own blocks). It has a shirred front panel. I should have placed pockets on this but I ran out of fabric:) so these are just faux pockets. I fortunately found a good fabric that cuts clean so I decided to place raw folded strips of cloth on the shoulders/arm and on the waist. I will probably take off the ones on the waist though, I find it kind of too much...

really cute! the faux pockets are great!
nice...I really like the center ruching and the pockets! they are faux but you can put your hands in them?
thanks! pinkhibiscus: yup the faux pockets go all the way through the hem -- lol. But it's nice just to have a place to put my hands in :)
hey I love this dress! good work.. I esp. like what you've done with the raw material around the armholes, very clever, and I think it looks good across the waist also!
This is just beautiful. I love it!
Your own pattern! How exciting. I can tell the basic form is solid,. It has a classic shape to it and any adornments you put just adds to it. Love it. Congrats.
this is just lovely! The pleating around the armscyes really adds to it!
Beautiful and very creative design.
beautiful dress and great fit! I agree with you in maybe taking away the folded strips at the waist.
I've been trying to contact you, but kept running into grief. So now, I can at least post. Hope to see more of your work, soon. Cordially, Nehmah
