This is a very simple skirt from the book SEW U. I made it a year ago and it came to below the knee. I bound the hem with black bias-binding. I never wore it.
So yesterday I shortened it and added the pocket on the front from the trimmed hem. (The top of the pocket is the old hem). I used scraps of fabrics I like to bind the pocket and if I get inspired I intend to applique something onto the middle of the pocket. This time I hemmed with yellow thread for a more casual and fun feel. I think I will wear it all the time now and the pocket is so useful - keys, tissues, hairbands...

A nice heavyish denim fabric.
