As ye sew, so shall ye rip.

How about no fasteners, unless you aren't planning to wear a top this? A trio of decorative, metal clasps or Chinese frogs, would be another thought. Nehmah

Very smart! It looks great you should be proud. you could try hook and eyes to fasten it or fabric covered buttons that actually press stud together. Good luck

    moving on to shirts

This suits fits you perfect! I especially like the jacket and the fact that the crease and the stitch on the jacket align perfectly. Very nice lines. And lined and all! Well done, really. I'd leave the jacket open as well or maybe a hook and eye but no buttons.

    moving to her new house

It fits you perfect. I like it a lot. Hooks and eyes will keep the jacket elegant, the buttons will give it more sporty look I think.

Gorgeous! I never considered making this jacket, but now I think I'll give it a try. I have to agree with Nehmah - Chinese frogs (Chinese knots) would make a beautiful trim.
