I made this dress from a vintage pattern, and wore it a couple times but it just isn't 'me'. Maybe it is 'you'? It's 100% cotton and was made from a circa 1970 Simplicity pattern, sized '12', which in patterns of that time/brand means about a 34-27-36. You don't actually have to wear it with the tie-belt, it tapers in at the waist sufficiently to not look like a bag without it. If I say it myself, I did a nice job on this, but turns out I am not the girl in the black-and-white gingham dress with the red buttons. I'm just not. SO if you think you'd rock this frock, and have something sewing-related you wanna swap, you can join our flickr group! http://www.flickr.com/groups/upforswap/

Unfortunately I'm no-where near that size otherwise I'd snap it up. I love it! I made a dress in the 80's that was kind of similar and I wish I wouldn't have donated it to charity in the late 90's. I hope this is the right fit for someone.
YES! YES! YES!
Thats is such a pity, because it's beautiful! But maybe you cas make another person happy :)
I see the Rockabilly girls wearing this style all over town. I so wish I could fit into this. Great top!
What a cute dress!

CarlaTV thats funny you say that cos when I wore it my boyfirend and I were like, to make this work you really have to be one of those rockabilly girls who does the whole full-on makeup and hair thang, and my picture is in the dictionary under Low Maintenance :o)
I like it! To me it has a funky-50's diner vibe.
