After making a trouser block to my own measurements, I was eager to try and make a real garment with it. I chose to try out that odd new fashion shape for jeans: a high waisted, wide legged pair. These fit at the natural waist, have a fly front, jeans pockets at the front and a triangular back yoke. And the outer side seam curves towards the front. The pictures aren't that great, but I hope you can see it. I will add pictures of the inside later, because I am particularly proud of that. All seams with double topstitching are flat felted, all other seams are finished with bias tape.

wow! very creative-- love the skewed side seams. you're incredibly ambitious to try jeans, and once again, fabulous results. great job again, lauriana!
wow, too!!! really good looking. can´t wait to see more pictures :). the topstiching is great!
Great jeans! They look nice on you (nice shoes, too). I have been planning simmilar pants in my head since watching the last NYC fashionshow, however I can't find the right kind of fabric. All the denim I found was very stiff and hard, but your awsom creation has given me motivation to start my search once again.
These are very cool. Nice work.
This looks super, I love the side seams! I am looking forward to those pics on details, I became lately a mierenneuker (untranslateable) on the finish and I'm eager to learn more. I also like trousers with a high waistline. Last but not least: cool shoes!
Look so stylish! I would like to sew a denim trouser someday.
aww..I think I'm turning green with envy :) I really love the denim pants you made..this is so in style right now!
