Description

A classic revisited, in between the cardigan and the jacket, I redrafted Idit pattern, straightening the front lines and shaping a sailor collar/opening. I later found out that the Talea coat pattern had all the features I needed to create this garment. I hand knitted the handcuffs and waistband, sewn golden ribbon at the edge of the upper collar part. I want to explore the ways to combine sewing and knitting. Creating your own ribbing is the way forward!

Materials

Fleece, cotton yarn, golden ribbon

I'm always impressed by your pattern alterations - I would have never guessed it was an alteration of Idit. I like the double breasted closure and, as usual, like how neatly you knitted the handcuffs and waistband.

    being swallowed by buffalo check.

what a great idea to combine knitting and sewing! i've been putting off finishing a coat/hoodie because i couldn't find the right ribbing for the edges. it never occurred to me to knit it! wonderful, spectacular piece.
