Description

My first ever sewing project. I used stretch jersey and substituted the shirring elastic for 2mm elastic which I placed underneath the satin ribbon I stitched to the front and back.

Thank you all for the encouraging and nice comments. The jersey was recommended to me by the nice lady in the fabric shop. She said it would be easy to sew with for a first time project. Right, she was. Problem is, I got overconfident and very frustrated with the light, fraying cotton I used to do the same project again. And you're right, Lilo, it is very very comfy.

This is adorable! I love delicate flower prints, and have never seen one in stretch jersey before, a fabric that I love as well. I always see it in solids. This makes me want to look harder, since it's so pretty!
