I made this top for a cocktail skirt which I haven't finished yet. It's fitted with a zipper in the side-hem.
I got the fitted form by making several alterations to a linen-model first... perfect fit and worth the effort.
Now I just need an occassion

This really looks nice, is this a pattern you made or did you use a commercial pattern and fit it? I can't wait to see the whole outfit.
I made it from a pattern that I drew off from a second-hand spencer I bought years ago. With some serious changes on top. It was very much an experiment, but a confident one.
How can I prevent an invisible zipper bulging when it's put in pieces that were cut in 45 degree angle. Any tips? That's the problem with the skirt that fits the top.....
