I made this roughly pleaded short skirt with a waist belt ages ago. I followed and altered a BURDA pattern for a sixties-dress. I will try and find it so I can write the details.
I usually close the belt with a brooch, since I never found a suitable buckle.

I LOVE IT! Its so cute!
Nice! I like a good hounds' tooth check, but it's hard to come up with a design in which it won't look stuffy, and you succeeded very well.
