This is a great classic jeans pattern, that happens to be plus size. We made them in a sturdy denim, but you could fabricate them as nice dress pants or wool trousers, too. A bit of elastic adds pleasant ease in the waistband. Enjoy!

So happy to see the this pattern. Thank you Burda!
This is really a nice idea. I didn't dare to make trousers yet. this pattern could change that ^^
Cool Beans! Another pattern to try and this one will be for me. I'm a full figured woman and it's difficult to find patterns that flatter my figure. Thanks!!!!!
Thank you! It's great to have a plus-size pant pattern.
Looks great! ...But were is the booty shot?
Gorgeous pics! x
Thank you wzrdreams. I didn't want to be the only one asking for the bum view. But really, it's the most important feature of jeans. Inquiring minds need to know!
I don't like the front under the zipper-doesn't it have an awful lot of fabric that isn't fitted properly?
I agree with beaglefest, the fit around crotch/top of the leg looks very baggy.
OK. These are cute, but the bubbling crotch does bother me. However, I can work around that. I was looking for the size range and didn't see it. That I do not want to work around. Some people may pass this up in a mistaken assumption it will not fit them and that would be sad.
Meanwhile, I have the perfect screaming orange denim to locate so that I can turn out a pair of these this weekend. I'm thinking royal blue or kelly green topstitching to scare all my co-workers who are used to seeing me in basic denim and tees. :-D
Amazing... Thanks for the plus size :) They look great and it will definitely be the next project.
SewTechDiva - can't wait to see your creation!! Plus if you fix the "bubbling crotch" (can't tell you what images that puts in my mind!) then please let everyone know.
and YEAH - bum view needed!!
the first thing i noticed was the extra fabric in the crotch area ... it could just be the fit on the model, or crotch-depth could be a little shallow. i've never seen this problem with any other burda pants before ... which is what lead me to think it could just be the model. who knows. if i wasn't 8 months preggers i would be tempted to try the pattern just to see the fit, and see if i could fix it. maybe after #2 pops out.
I noticed the extra fabric in the front too. I'm wondering if they did what a lot of designers do for plus size clothing, did they just add that extra fabric for the pouch in the front? I'm hoping not, I'm looking at making these too as I am in dire need of some new jeans. My only question is the sizing, why does it say N/A? I don't think that Plus Size is an actual size. Hmmm...
Hey beesting, I am sorry about the pattern size not having shown up. Of course plus size is not a size, it was just a bug that they did not show up. It is resolved now. Sorry again.
