Very cute! Now......how can i alter these for my bump???
fantastic! I've got some navy pinstripe I was thinking would go nicely as wide-legged trousers. :)
Mmm.. Navy Pinstripe would be great. I've got some dark grey wool that may be destined for these for chilly autumn/winter days.
Neat! I like that the plaid lines are straight in front and do not form an inverted V like with other pants. Pinstripes would be great too! I wonder how these would look like knee length?
Nikki, for the bump, make the front lateral sides straight at the waist line and widen the front zipper lines too at an angle, to make room. Maybe even give up the darts in the back, and add an elastic at the waist?
Nice pants, nice & modern pattern.
Once again the borderline anorectic model of Idit - I don't like it at all. Wish the creators wouldn't encourage the poor girl in her disease by rewarding her and using her as model. Gives me enough reason not wanting to use the pattern.
Lilo – I can understand if you find the model too thin, but your comment about “encouraging the poor girl in her disease by rewarding her and using her as model” is just in very bad taste. There’s a big difference between encouraging different body shapes and talking about a healthily-looking skinny girl as if she was a brainwashed diseased zombie with no mind of her own.
I think the girl is cute and adorable, and she shows off the pants really well.
Yes the model is thin but, Lilo, did it occur to you that maybe she's naturally thin? I was a skinny teenager and wanted curves. Now (many years later) I'm a curvy mum but as long as we're healthy does it matter so much whether we're a 6 or 16?
I must also say, that I find the model a way too thin. She’s a really beautiful girl, but when I look at her, I have the wish to help her. Of course there are girls, who are naturally thin, but you have to admit, that there are suprisingly many of them in the model business, mh? I don’t know and don’t have the right to judge, whether this girl is healthy or not, but I would really appreciate it, if Burda would hire more models, who have more curves. Look at the members here at Burdastyle, the minority is THAT thin.
Pants are adorable. Model is gorgegous. She shows off the pants beautifully but many women including myself look at this design and picture and do not see ourselves in them. I would also like to see models with dimensions that are more like most women (curvier and not so tall). I am with Polchromatin in thinking that models tend to be too thin.
I love the pants. I would also like to see a wider range of models. Yet…
Frankly, I don’t think the models healthiness is really up to us to discuss. My close friend is possibly skinnier than this model, quite tall and I know she absolutly hates comments she gets from people. She is constantly being refered to as anorxic, which could understandably be distressing for a perfecltly healthy girl. Personaly, I believe that if you don’t know, you shouldn’t make comments.
