My Shari made for the sew-along (and my birthday). I really love the flow of this dress, it's really fun in such a lightweight, slinky fabric. I made some modifications: I moved the zipper to the side and didn't line the dress. I also added elastic thread to the back of the yoke (because it ended up being too big), and added a line of elastic thread at the shoulder seams, since it tended to crease near the neckline, and this way the creases look intentional One suggestion: Make sure your yoke fits snuggly!

beautiful! and great fabric choice!
wow...I like the colors...:) So the original pattern didn't fit well? Would you recommend cutting a size smaller?
My recommendation would be to cut the size according to the size chart, but resize the yoke if necessary. Since the dress is very flowing, attaching the top and skirt to a smaller sized yoke could be done with a bit of easing, and would look fine.
Beautiful creation and the colors are very well matched.
Oh so nice.
That looks great and thanks for the tips about fitting the Shari.
Fabulous! 75c huh? You should be taking the Wardrobe Refashion pledge if you aren't already :)
wonderful-- love the fabric-- it's perfect for this dress.
Yup this dress is lovely. Your fabrics look great together. A perfect dress for a birthday party too. Hope it was a happy one.
