I've looked through your posts and it seems Susan is the pattern of choice for our debut Sew Along!
Let’s have a show and tell of the fabric and notions we plan to use for this pattern. This thread is here to be used to ask questions, give advice and show your progress so please use it.

Hi all! I have a question: what fabric would look better / be easier to sew? It’s Winter here, so I want a warm version of Susan.
I'm trying to think of fabrics available close by … so, unless I find something interesting in a second-hand shop, my choices are: tracksuit-type material or a sorta drapey mohair weave. Which would you do?
I was just pondering which pattern I prefered yesterday and decided on Susan so glad it's made the sew along debut project. I am thinking about making it in a light weight knit as I am keen to learn to sew with this kind of fabrication. Look forward to seeing everyones creations.
OK, so this is the fabric i'm going to use to make my version of Susan.
This fabric is not recycled but it is from my stash which i need to use up :)
I haven’t decided yet on my button choice, i think i'll wait until the blouse is made up before i choose but hopefully i'll have something in my button stash.
Hmm, my image didn't show up in my post. Click on my name and check out the image on my homepage instead. In the meantime i'll ask Nora and Benedikta about the code.
I won't be joining this sew-along I'm afraid (too many ongoing projects) but I still really like it. Good luck everyone!
Red_swirl, if I were you, I'd go for the mohair weave, I think it would fit in better with the nostalgic style of the Susan blouse.
I am going with the black and white theme that seems to be invading the fashion world at the moment.
Will see how it pulls together before deciding on buttons, this will probably need something plain and I am a little unsure on the ruffles. Will see how it looks.
I live in Texas and it is so hot here right now and will be for several months! I think I will adjust the ruffle and make mine with cap sleeves with the ruffle as the edge. I have some beautiful grey cotton voile that will work nice and I may buy some eyelet and tea/coffee dye for the inset.
I have been searching my stash. Fortunately for my daughter it’s full of cute knit prints. Fortunately for my son, it’s also full of bright solids and camoflage prints. Unfortunately for me, it is not full of anything suitable for this pattern, sigh so I'll have to go fabric shopping. I was thinking it would look great in brown cotton voile…
I have my finals for my summer term next week, so I'll decide then what fabric I'll use in my stash and let you know!!Civil engineering can be quite something, wish me luck!
I have been wanting to join the sew along but don’t have a printer so couldn’t print the pattern. I was at my Mum and Dad’s on the weekend and printed out the Susan pattern on thier printer. So I will now attempt to make the shirt. I have a huge amount of a red with black pin stripe fabric that I found at the op shop the other day. For contrast I will try spinning it around and have the stripes go the other way!?! How long do we have left to complete the shirt?
Woohoo! Let's get started them girls. I'm going to get to work on mine this week. I'm going to lengthen the top to accommodate my belly, maybe add some extra width in the front piece somehow. I like the idea of cap sleeves too.

What are the recommended fabrics for this blouse?
I have decided to make the top out of a couple of cotton fabrics. Not sure how to add a photo to this post but you can see them here:

Nice choice Katepop! I was considering B&W but went with the cream and green instead.

Forgot to add, we have another two weeks left to make the Susan top. I'll post about another pattern next week for our next project.
