Jorinde_large

After Thursdays Club meet i was very inspired by the other members. I had originally planned to make Jorinde, Linda and Ute but discovered i don’t have enough fabric for the Linda skirt i wanted to make and realised that i’m not really much of a a blouse kind of girl so i’m in the process of rethinking my ‘wardrobe’. While i do that i am going to get started on my Jacket, i’m using the Jorinde pattern and have had fabric sitting in my stash for this project for about 2 years now, put it this way, i was pregnant when i bought it and Heidi turns 2 next month! Anyway, i’ll be doing the sensible thing and will be making a muslin from calico to check on the fit before cutting into my beautiful fabric.

I’m also considering making the Anita skinny jeans, another Kasia (using the fabric i didn’t have enough of for Linda) and a few Lydia long sleeve tee’s.
I’m also adding a few non BurdaStyle items into my wardrobe such as the stole i am knitting, a new hat and some tops made from tessuti’s new pattern (which will be available soon), i’d also like to add a little vintage to the mix by using some of my vintage patterns, oooh and a bag, i need a new bag right? OK, my mind is running off ahead and my lack of time can’t keep up!
I have a feeling things will change as time goes by, new fabrics in store get my imagination running riot, i see what others are making and i get inspired or my tastes change. I’d like to see my ‘wardrobe’ come together in a way that it will combine well enough, i know i like green and other earthy colours but i do like a splash of bright colour now and again.
Have you started on your ‘wardrobe’ yet? How’s it going? don’t forget to post in the forum and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
