Hollywood loves sewing. From superhero suits and Renaissance garb, to high-powered business suits and couture gowns, custom-made clothing featuring the work of amazingly talented sewers is all over the silver screen. Moreover, there are a surprising number of scenes devoted to the craft of sewing.

Spanish scientist/designer Manel Torres has created a new material that can be sprayed directly on to the body, forming a literal second-skin piece of clothing. Made from a suspension of minuscule cotton fibers and plastic, the material can be washed and re-worn as well as dissolved back into its liquid form to be reused as another garment!
