Escape from the cold, and indulge in these beautifully breezy vacation friendly designs. This week we are publishing unreleased patterns from the May 2012 issue of burda style magazine. Wherever your holiday takes you, you will look fabulous and feel great in all of these softly tailored designs made in bright colors mixed with soft neutrals.

Leather for shorts? Why not! These Suede Shorts look great, and complement any top. The crossover fly is also very flattering on the body.

This Bandeau top is ideal for small chested women, as the gathers give the impression of more! What better to pair it with than this lovely Mini Pleated Skirt. The deep pleats create a beautiful A line silhouette, and we are sure that this will become your favorite go-to skirt.

This Airy Blouse is perfect for those care-free days, and it always looks great! For an effortless look like this, pair with the Pajama-Style Trousers. They are so easy to wear, and are cut narrow at the top which makes hang beautifully on the leg.

This Casual Dress is perfect for everyday wear. It is both comfy and classic in style, and even has functional side zip pockets.

This wide Flared Gored Skirt with a high waistline is a perfect transitional skirt. It can easily be worn in warm or cool weather. It also features a concealed button front and slanted pockets with wide flaps.

Here we have the perfect outfit! The Curved Tunic looks delightful with its curved seams and drop shoulders. We love it paired with matching Floral Trousers.

We love this casual Boho Dress. This mini dress made in light silk carries not only wonderfully comfortable – with its incorporated seam pockets, it is also really handy.

This figure-hugging tube Gathered Dress with long sleeves is effortlessly made in stretch jersey. Subtle design details such as ruffles and horizontal seams make it an all-rounder dress for day and night.

We love this refreshing sporty Dress in mint green. It features side zipper pockets and a lovely deep V neckline. The casual length and silhouette is easily flattering on any body! It would look great belted as well.

Happy Sewing!

Both of those skirts are on my wish list since that issue came out, especially the gored longer skirt. But I really don’t like the casual or sporty dress – too much like shapeless sacks . I honestly don’t think the bandeau top would be flattering on anyone either!!

The gathered dress has my favorite kind of neckline and I love working with jersey, but do I understand correctly that it’s only available in plus sizes? If that’s true, I do believe my heart is broken.

The curved tunic is nice…but the pattern seems lost in the print version. I think solids work best or prints with lots of contrast.
