Here in the States, most of us will be heading off for the 4th of July weekend – whether to another city, a beautiful beach or just hanging out in our own backyards. While you may not be taking a long weekend holiday just yet, chances are you will get away at least once (hopefully more!) this summer so I made a list of the pieces you’ll need to make before you head out of town. Whether it’s a big adventure in a new city, a sun-soaked weekend on a beach or a relaxing country getaway, find the projects and patterns you need to make for your vacation destination!
A fun swimsuit, chic cover-up and a pair of flip flops are really all you need for a tropical vacation. Toss in a floaty dress and comfy pants to round out you beach look. No muss, no fuss.
Patterns from left: Caftan with Ties, Drawstring Pants, Drape Dress, Jessica Bikini, Long Tank, Drawstring Shorts.
Weekend in the City:
I’m heading off to the Windy City (Chicago) for the 4th and have packed my bag with the essentials: chic shorts, loose and breezy tops and a couple of stand-out pieces (including one killer dress) for a serious night on the town.
Patterns from left: Flounce Blouse, Shorts with Wide Waistband, Embellished Jacket, Cocktail Dress, Mini Skirt.
This vacation is all about relaxation, so make up some pieces that are equal parts pretty and comfortable. Easy tunics, pants and a pair of kick-around boots should have you set.
Where are you headed off to this Summer? What are you making (or have you already made) for your vacation getaway?
