I am not a novice. I went to Parsons, worked in Couture and am now spending my days trying to think of ways how to offer sewing instructions and patterns that are easily replicable by our community on the site.

Nevertheless, there are these certain steps in making a garment or pattern, that make me stop and think anew every single time I come across it, no matter how often I completed them in previous times.

One of these procedures is how to finish a slit in a sleeve that does not follow along a seam. Every time I come across the problem, I feel like there has got to be a better way, a cleaner, more fun, easy way. I have not come up with the solution so far, but the least I can do is offer you a how to, that is here for you to look at again and again, no matter how often you need a reminder of how the process goes…
