i voted fo ·28 because the final result is sexy but still sophisticated and i think that’s sometimes hard to find. i love the stripes and how she belt the dress and put her hair up to show the dress.. im remaking that!

I voted for #39 because it looks very wearable, something that anyone could use made with something that could easily be found. I thought she did a really nice job with matching the plaids too, not easy when repurposing and old garment.

I love #3 so I had to vote for it. Awesome job on the remake with great details and topstiching.

I voted for my own, # 39, because I’m incredibly selfish and I really want to win. Then I felt like a total jerk so I went and voted for #11 because I think her design rocks.

I voted for #11. It has a nice cut and fits well. The hemline is a good length and it is even. Great job!

I’ve voted for # 3. Great refashion! The sewing is very neat and the fit so perfect! There were a couple others that I loved but #3 got my vote. Congratulations to all those who refashioned a garment for this contest. We all succeeded in having a functional piece in the end.I didn’t make it to the top 50 but love my refashioned top that was originally my mom’s hospital robe. It still has her warmth and I will proudly wear it. Hope everyone enjoys wearing their creations as well!

I vote for number 47. I love how remaking the dress made the model go from frumpy, in an out of date style, to looking fresh and model quality with the amazing lift. The new sleeves and belt did the trick. I really like the look.

I love and am voting for number 11.

I voted for #39 because the beginning project was something extremely easy to wear and also something realistic to replicate! Thrift stores are overflowing with old plaid robes that are just begging to be repurposed into something new and fantastic. I don’t know what could be better for this coming fall than a cute plaid dress, epecially a homemade one!

I voted for #47 because the designer took an absolutely dreadful and outdated dress and made it fashionably beautiful. She kept the neckline with the buttons, which I loved! This gave it a twist on the more modern look. My favorite was the sleeves!

gaaaah! how i wanted to enter this challenge. unfortunately, i only finished the outfit i was sewing yesterday! ha! and it was such a simple outfilt! eeeps! but, i enjoyed looking at what people came up with! some very, very talented sewers out there! :)
hmmm…in the end i liked #29, 32, & 33. #29 took something that i thought was pretty hideous and turned it in to something pretty rockin’ & fashionable! liked the use of the lining at the bust. #33 was just cute! i couldn’t wear it, but i liked the outfit. the top was very cute and all those pleats…yeah, they used the iron! ;) but, in the end i voted for #32. it was so interesting how they remade that shirt into that great dress (very original & i loved the drape) and could see how they used the iron. fabulous.
congrats to all for making the final 50! :)

I was torn between #3 and #14. I finally voted #14 because while #3 has great lines, I love the collar on #14. And the color. Wait. I just realized it reminds me of Carmen Sandiego. Maybe that’s what subconsciously tilted the balance in its favor… LOL

Tough call, there were so many great entries. I finally picked #3 because of the crisp lines, attention to detail, and because now I’m inspired to do something with my old linen pants.

I voted for #21 because this skirt is drop dead gorgeous in leather! It is so neat so see a cast-off garment transform into something new to love.

I voted for #15 LovebirdT’s mustard-plaid autumn dress. The fabric combination is fun and it looks like a great fall dress to wear. Plus taking on the challenge of knit fabrics and combining them into those shapes is pretty neat.

I voted for #11 because of the total transformation, and the clever idea of making the lapel into the waistband. A good color choice too!

I voted for #3 (Changestine) – I think it’s perfectly tailored! Great work everyone! Bummed I wasn’t included – but I love mine and will wear it anyways – congrats all! Let’s do it again!

My vote goes with #30— the workmanship looks lovely, and the end result is flattering and wearable. It was a hard decision, though, since there were a few others that were in the running for my vote :)

Totes!
The finished project is very flattering. I love that sewing your own clothing can make everything fit “just right”.
