I know I would lose interest looking at 150 photos. Even 25 is a push sometimes.

The winner was the ONLY one that had over a hundred votes at 145. The only other one i saw that was close was 56 votes and there were two costumes with this many votes. Alot of relly intricate, and very well done costumes only got about 16 – 23… why is this people? Why is there such a huge diffrence from the second and first place, in votes? according to these peoples comments, this shouldnt be right?!??? Just to note, i didnt enter the contest either! but i always vote :) Also i agree with the hole picture viewing, it would be much easier to view and compaire. Also do people know that they can vote for not just one, but several!

I think the others are right. It doesn’t seem to be much of a contest if we didn’t get to see all the entries. I thought the VIEWERS were voting and they would decide the winner. If people who work for/at the site picked the winner, then why did we vote? And no, I did not enter the contest.

I would like a way to view all entries on one page. I have to wait for each picture to load, and then decide. It would be nice to see them all and be able to compare and pick one that way!

That’s a great idea! We are always interested in site improvement, so thanks for the suggestion.

Well, it would be good to tell, how many entered, at least…

      Hi janul,

For the super short period of one week, we received about 150 submissions! It’s not an easy job narrowing down the entries, but to keep the voting process simple, we have to keep the finalists at a relatively small number.

I agree, molly molly. I entered and not to be rude/arrogant, but my costume was 10,000 times better than many of the finalists.

It’s kind of annoying that there can’t be an unlimited number of people entered in the contest, I assume it was narrowed down to 25 because I thought I had also entered the costume contest but apparently wasn’t good enough to make the cut. If this is truly and open forum for sewing then contest shouldn’t have such a small limitation on entrees.

      Hey molly molly,

We try to keep the slide shows at a reasonable image number and we’ve found that 25 works well for some contests. We appreciate the feedback :)

I don’t really find that to be a good reasoning. Why not have more than one slide show?
