We will be delving deeper into the ins and out of Tailoring, Outerwear, and Menswear. This month we will revisit some of our past patterns and look at the variations you have all made of them. Along with these old patterns, we will have new patterns like new coats for men and women.

Some “How Tos” on various tailoring construction techniques would be beneficial.

    That’s a great-coat!

Yes, more emphasis on tailoring and the tricky plaids out there. Brilliant idea, thanks.

It’s such a great idea to focus on a techinque or type of garment for a month! Tailoring is a great choice of topic because it can be a bit scary for those of us who aren’t so experienced, and something that can always be improved upon. I’m really looking forward to the men’s coat pattern. I have a plan to make one for my husband and the patterns we’ve looked at all seem so boring. My husband is very tall so I hope there is a wide range of sizes. Another good (and somewhat scary) topic to develop would be sewing bias cut garments.

I love jackets! I haven’t tried one yet because most patterns are beyond my ability level. I’d love to find a beginners tailored jacket pattern.
