Check out this pre-teen capsule collection from burda style magazine’s October 2010 issue. Pre-teens will love these practical and casual designs made to feel cozy. This collection embraces nature and these designs will have you on an adventure in no time!

This is the long version of the Long Sleeve Button Top. This comfy and easy-to-sew top has a lovely button down detail and would make a great layering piece.

Here is the shorter variation of the Long Sleeve Button Top . We love the shorter hemline and know that this top would make any pre-teen happy!

This hip plaid Blouson Jacket is so versatile and makes a great fall wardrobe addition. It is finished with ribbing at the hem and sleeves, and a practical pocket with zipper.

Whether it’s school or hanging out at the mall, this Drawstring Long Shirt is perfect! The cool plaid fabric makes it pop, and the drawstring adds an extra detail. We love it paired with these stylish and practical Cargo Pants . They have so many great details including big bellow pockets, darts, and drawstrings.

This trendy Belted Long Shirt has a vintage feel and looks great over a pair of leggings or jeans.

You’ll be feeling cozy in this cool Parka . It has a detachable fur collar, and big bellow pockets.

This lovely Blouse has ruffles up the center front and at the sleeve hems. It is that perfect autumn blouse that looks great casually worn with jeans, or a skirt and tights.
Explore the great outdoors and get in touch with nature with this new pattern collection. Try making one or all of these styles, for a cool casual look.
Happy Sewing !

These look great – however, what I would really like to see are more teen patterns. My eldest daughter is just moving into the teenage years and I cannot find anything suitable for her. Most of the adult patterns are too grownup in style or don’t accomodate her growing curves, and all the kids stuff is just too young.

My October 2012 (10/2102) doesn’t have these patterns in. I’ve got the ‘Through the Wilderness’ Kids collection for somewhat smaller children. Am I misunderstanding something?

More tween patterns like this, please! You have no idea how hard it is to find cool non-super-girly patterns. Or even for boys. SHEESH, they are the hardest to find things for…

These are adorable and really close to the styles my friends with girls dress them in. And you could just reverse the buttoning and fly front to make them for boys.
