Last week in St. Paul, Minnesota we ventured out to The Creative Connection, a 3-day conference celebrating women and entrepreneurs. We met with some of our favorite bloggers like Alicia Dirago of Dismount Creative, Mena Trott of the Sew Weekly and vintage style maven Gretchen Hirsch of Gertie’s New Blog for Better Sewing taught our BurdaStyle classes. Singer® enabled our activation at The Creative Connection, click through for more pics after the jump!
Hands-on workshops, social networking, business panels and tips for building and running a creative company, the Creative Connection is a wealth of resources and support for both the new and established entrepreneur.
Our popular Make + Take booth was enabled by Singer® and we used the fantastic Singer® Confidence Stylist 7467s for our classes and projects! It was a great event featuring hands-on workshops, social networking, business panels and tips for building and running a creative company. The Creative Connection is a great place for DIYers, sewers, and women from all backgrounds to network and learn more about building their brand and business.
We paired up with Gretchen on two classes that were a hit: Essential Hand Stitches for Garment Making and Writing a Successful Sewing Blog. Plus, we had a keynote speech from BurdaStyle co-founder Nora Abousteit who shared her experiences in the DIY fashion and tech world!
