I love vintage metal buttons. They feel like they tell there own story, I just imagine what other things they had been on and I know they will probably end up on other things after I use them.

I like to paint and print on fabrics and to add ribbons, laces or beads. Or to paint a piece of fabric and then use it for an appliqué.

Just began sewing… not quite embellishing; just to give a project a special touch; I would probably choose something sparkly or shiny.

I love using something regular in a different way. I like to embellish using ribbons, different strips of fabric, and especially a well-placed one-of-the-kind button. My favorite is a headband embellished with a crocheted doily and yellow button assembled ot look like a flower.

It’s buttons all the way, though I seem to be having some sort of affair with pretty bias tapes.

not much into ruffles or embroidery on clothing - rather use top-stitching and details…

As a teenager I used to use furniture tassles and sequins. Now, I’m much more in to simple lines and structure. At the moment making a dress that has a bias ribbon details which looks lovely.

I like to embellish by adding tulle. Adding a small tulle bow to my hair, pinning it to my dress, tying it around my ankle or weaving it through a chain bracelet is a lovely romantic touch to my outfits, especially my holiday ones!

Buttons, piping and bias tape are great, but I like almost everything you can do as long as it’s not too much or all mixed.
