I fail to understand why Australians cannot order directly from burda online!

I always saw burdastyle as a very forward thinking magazine and website PLEASE look into making it possible to subscribe online via the burdastyle website.

You would find you would sell a lot more magazines.

        Hello bernieandi,

I know it has been quite some time since your post and most likely you have found the answer to your questions by now.

The link above for subscriptions shipped to Australia is for the burda style website (burdastyle.de).

Thank you for sharing the link you found. This will be very helpful for other users.

I apologize for your frustrating experience. I will write to burdastyle.de with any suggestions you have. We appreciate the feedback.

You can buy single english language issues at http://www.fashionistafabrics.com/patterns.html

It ships to the US, and most everywhere for an added shipping cost.

I found it at the greyhound magazine store downstairs and High Park library has a subscription and you can take out copies for a week.

Issue 9/2011 in English has a waistcoat on page 41 that goes with the wrap skirt. It isn’t marked where the pattern pieces are found. Help! I love that waistcoast and want to make.

Please note that GLPNews (see inochka’s comment) no longer offers customer support for non-German editions of the magazine. This is a recent update. Please see the appropriate contact in the post above – if you would like to call directly, message me with the language + country and I’ll do my best to get you the appropriate number.

For Australians – I contacted Burda through the link and they got back to me in a week. The cost for 12 issues is EUR 86.04 including shipping which at current exchange rates is AUD117. At less than $10 per issue, that’s much better than buying it from the newsagents or any Australian based subscription I’ve seen (usually around $200).

They used to have it at Borders but then the store closed. I now have a subscription. I got my first magazine within a week of ordering the subscription, so far I’m very happy with the service.

Australia – you can get the burda from some newsagents, or if you want them a little cheap go to the distributer in Brunswick in Victoria for back issues. My mum has been buying burda since the 60 ’s and I subscribe now too. I have been dressed using their patterns all my life, just love it. We have issues all the way back to when she use to have to wait months for each issue and they were in German so she had to learn a little german to understand them lol. Must say not overly happy with the latest changes and the reduction in patterns and pattern sheets. They also seem to repeat a lot of patterns and seeing it is mostly subscriber driven, i find that a little annoying. Cheers

Great – back issues are exactly what I’m after. Do you have details for the distributor in Brunswick? Did a web search but found nothing.

I clicked this link, and did not get a response past the first issue. I live in Australia. You really need to make this process easier for english speaking customers . Making it more automated would help you get more subscribers!

Hi, I recently enquired about subscribing to the magazine in English and received a reply saying they would work on my order as soon as possible i was wondering how like it takes because that was almost a month ago? There has been no email from the Burda team since.

      Kind regards Mandy
